Kegel Rules

  • Observe and Keep Fall Zones Clear

Watch for climbers and boulderers. Maintain adequate distance. Never stand, boulder, sit, or walk underneath someone who is bouldering.

The highest risk of injury comes from falling on another person

  • Is My Route Free?

Be aware if your route crosses that of another climber or if you are getting too close.

    Never boulder directly above someone!

  • Use Our Mirror

When moving from the small hall to the large hall, use the designated mirror. Check first! Is it clear? Then proceed.

  • Keep Mats Clear

Keep the mats free from drinks, food, dogs, clothing, changing mats, etc.

We have designated areas for all these items. The mats and areas underneath the climbing walls are not for these things, due to risk of injury and health code violations.

  • STOP at the Kegel Edge

When climbing on the Kegel, only those with proven experience in setting up belay stations may continue climbing with the appropriate equipment

  • Hygiene Alert

Bouldering and climbing barefoot or with street shoes is not allowed. Do not wear climbing shoes in the restroom due to the risk of transmitting bacteria.

  • Walk Slowly

Those who walk slowly can see the potential fall zone and avoid becoming part of it.

  • Speak Quietly

Climbers and belayers may not be able to hear each other. This may cause the risk of falling.

  • Maintain Order & Cleanliness

Please leave everything as tidy and clean as you found it. Please put away the equipment in the training room after use, use the trash bins, and return dishes and bottles to the counter, even if others before you did not adhere to these rules.

  • Sustainability

Please use chalk sparingly and clean the holds. Excessive chalk can make the holds less grippy. Also, be conscious of water, toilet paper, and other consumption. The environment, those affected by excessive consumption, and our old pipes will thank you.

  • Do Not Disturb

Please do not distract belayers. They are responsible for someone’s safety and need to maintain full attention

  • No Smoking

Please smoke only in the terrace area.
    Avoid blowing smoke on others.
    Plants are not ashtrays!
Use the designated ash trays for disposal

  • Animals at Kegel

We love animals! However, please keep your pets away from the mats and walkways so that those with allergies or disabilities can use the Kegel without restriction.

  • Children at Kegel

We are not an indoor playground! Climbing and bouldering are potentially dangerous activities. Please supervise your kids thoroughly and continuously. This ensures not only your safety but also the safety of all other guests. Please follow the guidelines in the parent flier.

  • Authority to Issue Instructions

Adhere to the safety and procedural instructions given by trainers and any other staff members.

  • Accidents

If you have an accident or witness one, please immediately inform the front desk staff and provide first aid! We will take care of you right away. The first aid kit is located at the front desk, and the accident report must also be recorded there later.

  • Photos

Please note that you may only take photos of yourself and do not block routes for photo sessions.

  • Top On

Please wear at least a tank top or sports bra. This absorbs sweat and prevents any public discomfort.

Attention

In case of non-compliance, omission or false information, we reserve the right to deny you the use of the hall, even after entry, for your safety and that of other visitors.
